PARANORM Cough Syrup is an Oral Syrup indicated for the symptomatic relief of dry cough associated with bronchospasm.
• PARANORM has no analgesic, sedative or addictive properties.• The relieving effect on coughing can persist for five to six hours. • It has low toxicity.
Each 5ml of PARANORM Cough Syrup contains the active ingredients dextromethorphan hydrobromide and ephedrine hydrochloride at 7.50mg and 15.00mg respectively.
Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant. Ephedrine is a nasal decongestant, it also has a stimulant effect on the respiratory centre and helps prevent bronchospasm (a restriction of the airways).
Children 6-12 years: One 5ml spoonful every four hours as required. Children 2 to 5 years: Half a 5ml spoonful every four hours as required. PARANORM is only intended to treat children from 2 to 12 years of age, it should not be used outside of this age range.
