HISTALIX combines an antihistamine/cough suppressant (diphenhydramine hydrochloride); an expectorant (ammonium chloride) and a subjective decongestant that provides a cooling effect (menthol).
Daytime dosage: Children 2-5yrs old - 2.5ml every 4hrs; Children 6-12yrs old - 5ml every 4hrs; Adults and Elderly - 5 to 10ml every 4 hrs.
Bedtime dosage: Children 2-5yrs old - 5ml to be taken at bedtime; Children 6-12yrs old - 5 to 10ml to be taken at bedtime; Adults and Elderly - 10 to 15ml to be taken at bedtime.
